MARNIX VAN KEIRSBILCK
Marnix Van keirsbilck (1960, Ostend) obtained a Master of Laws (KULeuven, 1983) and a Master of Economics (KULeuven, 1985) with great distinction and an LL.M (Master of Laws) from Harvard Law School (1986).
Marnix Van keirsbilck has worked as a tax lawyer since 1986, first in the United States (1986-1991) and then in Belgium (1991-present).
Career in the United States:
- Washington D.C.: Cole, Corette & Abrutuyn (1986-1987).
- San Francisco/Palo Alto: Baker & McKenzie (1987-1991), focusing on international taxation.
- Member of the State Bar of California since 1988 (currently no longer an active member).
Career in Belgium:
- Linklaters (1991-1996).
- Partner at Dumon, Sablon & Vanheeswijck, where he worked for nearly 30 years in the areas of corporate tax, international taxation, “executive compensation,” and the taxation of M&A (advice, litigation, and ruling applications).
Marnix Van Keirsbilck has expertise in corporate tax, international taxation, “executive compensation,” and the taxation of M&A, including advice, litigation, and ruling applications. He joined the firm in 2024 as “of counsel” and is a member of the Brussels Bar Association, IFA (International Fiscal Association), and BATL (Belgian Association of Tax Lawyers).
